ICD-10 is the abbreviation of the International Classification of Diseases and is used to report diagnosis in the clinical setting. This new code set was launched on October 1st, 2015 and reflects advances in medicine and current medical terminology.
At Vancouver Radiologists, we have been working for over a year to prepare our organization for this transition. We will be working closely with our referring physicians to ensure they are providing detailed clinical history for the patients they refer to our imaging centers. We recently distributed new order forms to all physicians in the greater Vancouver area and copies of this new order form can be found on our website by clicking on the “For Providers” tab.
Our goal is to continue to provide outstanding care and service to the patients and referring physicians in our community as we all transition to ICD-10 coding.
