As a proven leader of medical imaging in Clark County for 35 years, Vancouver Radiologists, P.C. has consistently strived to be on the leading edge of not only technology, but patient/physician satisfaction, customer service and continuity of care. To that end, we are now providing same day preliminary verbal diagnostic mammography results to the patients we serve.
Community and national standards compel us to do all we can to alleviate patient anxieties and communicate information about their well-being in a timely fashion. The mammography team at Vancouver Radiologists welcomes this opportunity to do our part in the care continuum.
In addition to consulting with the patients after their exam, we have also hired Monica Stoltz as our Patient Services Coordinator of Breast Care, whose main focus will be to ensure women who receive mammogram screening and/or diagnostic services have direct and personal access to her for education, information and support. From screening to diagnosis, Vancouver Radiologists Breast Care Services can be coordinated by one phone call to one person decreasing a woman’s stress while increasing quality, continuity of care and communication among the health care team that serves her, one woman at a time. Providing patients with access to the most advanced technology for accurate diagnosis is also a priority of our practice. Vancouver Radiologists is the first practice in this area to offer Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) for mammography. CAD software acts like a “Spell-Checker” for medical images and assists radiologists by highlighting areas that warrant a second review. Every screening and diagnostic mammogram performed at Vancouver Radiologists receives examination by CAD. VanRad is proud to be the only outpatient imaging center offering both CAD and Digital mammography.
