X-Ray
Vancouver Radiologists, P.C., offers a complete range of Radiography
(X-ray) services for our patients.
What is X-Ray?
Radiography (commonly known as X-Ray) is the oldest and most frequently used form of medical imaging. X-Rays enable a Radiologist to view images of bones, lungs and certain soft tissues. Bone fractures or joint problems are the most common use of x-ray, but it can also be used to check the heart, lungs and various organs.
Using X-Ray, images are created by passing a small amount of radiation through the body. This energy is captured on a special digital image
Generally, two or more views may be taken during an X-Ray. A Radiologist
will review and interpret the patient's X-Ray images and send a report
to the patient's clinician. The clinician will discuss the X-Ray
results with the patient.
Please notify the Tech immediately if there is a chance that you may be pregnant.
