What is Magnetic Resonance Imaging?
MRI is a safe and painless diagnostic test that uses a strong magnet and radiofrequency waves to create detailed pictures of structures inside the body. MRI does not use ionizing radiation, (X-Ray). The pictures show soft tissue, muscles, nerves, discs, ligaments, etc. MRI aids in early diagnosis of various illnesses and in planning treatment of injury and illness. Our state of the art advanced machine is a large short bore with a wide opening that is open at both ends with a lot of light and flowing air.
